The Halton Symphony Youth Orchestra is the communities only full tuition scholarship training program that provides dedicated students with an immersive environment to hone their skills and develop their craft making high quality education accessible to our community.

 

We have weekly rehearsals where we explore exceptional symphonic repertoire, while preparing for our culminating term concerts. We host masterclasses, coaching and seminars from celebrated guest artists to further tailor HSYO students learning, and provide unique performing opportunities for participants to further this enriching experience.

Orchestra is one of the greatest examples of team work and collaboration. Devoted students learn the craft of playing their instrument however orchestral playing takes this a step further. It is precision down to fractions of seconds; where a single breath can make or break the moment. We learn how to make music together and develop lifelong transferable skills in a rewarding, engaging and fun environment. Many of you will form friendships and bonds through working and performing together and and expand your learning and skill set as you move through your life and cherish your time making music together.
